Festival of Trees
| The Peninsula Children’s Auxiliary (PCA) was started in 1963 by a group of committed volunteers to raise money to support the Peninsula Children’s Center, an organization in Palo Alto, California, that helped families in our community with special needs children. The Peninsula Children’s Center has evolved over the years into the organization now known as AchieveKids. AchieveKids provides special education and mental health services to children who have complex developmental, emotional and severe behavioral problems, and support for their families. They have 2 school campuses, one in Palo Alto and one in San Jose. |
| Since its founding PCA has raised over $2 million for AchieveKids programs. The primary fund raising event is the annual Festival of Trees. This event includes sales and auctions of fully decorated holiday trees and gifts, a fashion show and luncheon. |
| Peninsula Children's Auxiliary is the recipient of The Association of Fundraising Professionals Philanthropic Organization Award for 2000 and 2007. |
