Peninsula Children’s Auxiliary
The Peninsula Children’s Auxiliary (PCA) was started in 1963 by a group of committed volunteers to raise money to support the Peninsula Children’s Center, an organization in Palo Alto, California, that helped families in our community with special needs children. The Peninsula Children’s Center has evolved over the years into the organization now known as Achievekids, (put in link) with facilities in Palo Alto and San Jose, serving children and youth and their families in Santa Clara, San Mateo, Alameda and Santa Cruz counties.
Festival of Trees
Since its founding PCA has raised over $2 million for Achievekids programs. As it continues to raise funds for Achievekids, the primary fund raising event is its annual Festival of Trees. This event, occurring in November, includes sales and auctions of fully decorated holiday trees and gifts.
Peninsula Children's
Auxiliary is the recipient of The Association of Fundraising Professionals Philanthropic Organization Award for 2000 and 2007.
